You may not have heard the blink-and-you-missed-it rumor that surfaced back in 2012. It is about Taylor Swift possibly being involved with pre-Oscar fame Eddie Redmayne.
Us Weekly actually reported on the supposed dalliance. This is in which it is said to have started after the two met while Swift was auditioning to play Eponine in the film adaptation of Les Misérables (the role went to Samantha Barks).

It fizzled because Redmayne wasn’t interested in a long-distance relationship, according to a source. However, last night on Watch What Happened Live, he set the record straight about this supposed affair to remember (that everyone has forgotten about). It never happened.
“I absolutely can put the rumors to rest,”
Redmayne told Andy Cohen when the host asked about his possible romance with Swift, because if you’re ever linked with Taylor Swift, you will be asked about it, even four years later.
“I never went out on a date with Taylor Swift, although I met Taylor Swift. She auditioned for Les Misérables, and she was amazing in the audition. So, we got to sing together, which was a big moment for me, but, no, we never went out.”
Not one of the list!
So scratch Eddie Redmayne off the list of Taylor Swift’s 2012 celebrity dates. That list does include Conor Kennedy and Harry Styles, though.
Oh, and we have to return to the Us Weekly report about Redmayne and Swift, because it contains some important foreshadowing. “Taylor loved this image of a British boyfriend,” a source told Us at the time.
Enter Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston. The signs were there all along.

The actor, who is now married to Hannah Bagshawe and is a father to their daughter Iris, has nothing but praise for the Grammy winner. “She was extraordinary,” he complimented.
