Nina Dobrev makes a major comeback in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8. However, cast member Kat Graham will no longer be a part of the show. Aside from that, “Containment” alum Kristin Gutoskie has been cast for the recurring role of Seline.
Nina Dobrev is slated to return in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, executive producer Julie Plec officially confirmed that the former lead actress will reprise her role in the show. However, it is yet to be revealed if Dobrev will come back as Elena Gilbert or Katherine Pierce. Because of Dobrev’s return, fans speculated that season 8 might continue for season 9.
Dobrev last appeared in the 6th season of “TVD”, she left the vampire series to try out other career ventures.
On the other hand, cast member Kat Graham (who plays the role of Bonnie Bennett) officially leaves “The Vampire Diaries”. The 26-year-old Swiss-born American actress will no longer be a part of the upcoming season, Parent Herald has learned.
Other than that, “Containment” actress Kristin Gutoskie has landed a recurring role for the upcoming “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8. The Canadian actress, singer, and dancer will portray the role of Seline.
Gutoskie’s character is described as a warm and nurturing babysitter of 2 by day and a small-town citizen searching for a safe haven in a dangerous world at night. She is bonded with her new and so-called family whom she is desperately willing to fight and protect, Hollywood Hills has reported.
