'Vikings' Season 4: Lagertha Returns; Season 5 Officially Renewed

History Channel officially announced that “Vikings” Season 4 will continue for season 5. Creator Michael Hirst teased some details on what fans should expect once the 2nd part of the show returns this July. Also, episode 10 ‘The Last Ship’ is made available here for fans who have missed to watch it.

History Channel has officially picked up “Vikings” for a season 5 renewal. History president Jana Bennett announced the good news by which she stated via TV Guide,

The brilliant writing and depth of historical research and authenticity brought to the screen by Michael Hirst paired with our talented cast and crew, has made this series one of the most compelling, visually stunning historical dramas on television. Vikings has raided the hearts of audiences and we are thrilled that Jonathan Rhys Myers will become a bigger part of the History family after his incredible performance in our upcoming production of Roots.

On the other hand, series creator Michael Hirst revealed that Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) will make a major comeback in “Vikings” Season 4B. Hirst stated that Lagertha is still alive since she has a significant storyline in the show.

Lagertha’s comeback will shock Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) who assumed that she successfully killed her, Ecumenical News has cited.

For a quick recap of “Vikings” Season 4 episode 10 “The Last Ship” Den of Geek has reported that, the Vikings and the French people had a grueling battle. Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) went face to face against his brother Duke Rollo (Clive Standen).

“Vikings” Season 4 is currently on a long hiatus. The mid-season premiere (episode 11) is expected to air around July 2016, while season 5 is expected to premiere on 2017 first and exclusive on History Channel.
